Description:
I have created water inspired jewelry for the 2021 DUT final year range fashion show. The water pendants were molded by hand out of acrylic. When the jewelry is worn, it has the effect that water is dripping down your neck. The intention was to give the illusion that you are being washed with the jewelry as your skin appears to be under water. Water symbolizes cleansing, life, and freedom.

 I am in my 3rd year (final year) studying Fashion and Textile Design at Durban University of Technology. In 2019, I had won the Project Runway 1st year competition and received an award for the most creative and innovative design. When creating any form of art, I am mostly inspired by nature and enjoy creating work that has greater meaning and is purposeful.
