Three pandemic postcards to my future self

Postcard One – A photograph of my son in a bathThe coloured water reflects our blue mood at times. And the words, a personal contemplative letter.  Methodology, a digital image with handwritten text were added in Photoshop. Water coloured with dye and glitter and shot with a shallow focus.

Postcard Two – is a digital collage of random vintage tourist postcards. Reflecting happier times in the past, holidays and days out. The front includes an image of myself as a child, the reverse simply implies it is from myself, sent to myself. Original postcards were scanned and collaged in Photoshop with a new vintage card created and added in Photoshop.

Postcard Three – is an artwork with headlines cut out from newspapers and a few old photos pasted on to a cardboard delivery box during the pandemicInspired by feelings of isolation and confinement to my home and time spent with my family. It was created via a series of scans collaged in Photoshop with additional digital elements added to the final work.
