Montage of Comorbidities

The intensity and angst I have/am feeling during this pandemic is expressed through this small montage. Making little clips of individual paintings and adding layers of sound and simple editing effects has transformed the works; they have become more than just visual representations of my response to ‘Lockdown’ and the year 2019 as a whole.

The selected paintings for this film montage are from a (continuing) body of work made this year and are a response to local and world events. My reaction to Covid19 is visceral and emotional.

The eight stills clips were made on my cell phone. They were done using free video editing apps and the video is under four and a half minutes long.
