Artist Statement

My concept looks at the issue of plastic pollution; the effect it has on environment and on humanity. In my work I mostly use plastic that I have collected from walking along Durban beaches. This year I have mostly explored combining the physical plastic pieces and turning them into digital art.

I mostly take my inspiration both from nature found in the ocean and the meditative aspect of the Mandala which serve as points of introspection and enlightenment.
