TECHNOVATING PEDAGOGIES

Maud Blose is a lecturer in Journalism who is currently pursuing her PhD studies. She immediately embraced the e-Learning platform when she started lecturing in 2011 where she was part of the last group that was trained for a year in using Blackboard. This training lead her to starting a students online news publication called Journalismiziko which provides a practical training ground for student journalists. She has a certificate in online teaching (among her other qualifications). Ensuring to provide a different learning environment to her students, this year Blose engaged in a Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project with a professor from the Universidad de Sonora in Mexico where they produced a project looking at cancer awareness using digital storytelling techniques. That project gave birth to a community outreach initiative.
