Bio
Ayesha Mall heads the department of Media, Language and Communication in the Faculty of Arts and Design at DUT. She has worked as a journalist across platforms in community media and as a producer, researcher and scriptwriter for magazine programmes aired on SABC. She has been a journalism academic for over two decades and most recently had been teaching New Media and Editorial Management. Her research areas include new/digital media, community media and identity and representation, and journalism ethics.
