We present some of LabInter’s productions created at the intersection of Art, Science and Technology. LabInter is an Interactive Interdisciplinary Laboratory set at the Federal University of Santa Maria/Brazil. Our vocation is to investigate how creative technological innovation can explore different modes of perception, of embodied experience and of participative sharing, towards affirming collaborative practices which activate the power of the collective. LabInter is composed of artists, academics, researchers, graduate students and undergraduate research fellows from the visual arts, design, music, letters, architecture, cinema and computer science. All our propositions are carried out under our two umbrella projects: AIR and CODATA. AIR—Immersive, Interactive, Interdisciplinary Network Environments—investigates interactivity and immersiveness in responsive environments, which may or may not be networked. CODATA—collaborative data communities—involves artistic proposals that explore the crossroads of art, community and arising technologies and examine how it is articulated within collaborative practices in contemporary art. Thus, our research reflects a multiplicity of interests and directions through creative collaboration: game art, interactive applications, immersive and interactive environments, augmented reality, visual music, telematic art, digital narratives, collaborative proposals and recently a Fulldome immersive projection project.
